What do you love about Somerset West?
Being located in the cul-de-sac of Lourens Street, we appreciate the tranquility of our surroundings more. There is hardly any traffic and we overlook the public park. It is very relaxing to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening sundowner on Die Ou Pastorie Boutique Country Hotel terrace.
How long have you been operating here?
Die Ou Pastorie has been under new ownership since October 2007 and guests that have visited both the hotel and restaurant have been extremely complimentary of the improvement since then.
Die Ou Pastorie itself is over 150 years old.

Boutique Country Hotel with 16 rooms. Operating under at 5 star grading with the SA Tourism Grading Council. XO Wine Bar and Modern Bistro. Cosmopolitan menu that caters for every palate and also to the local pocket!
How do you see the future of your line of business in Swest?
We aim to ensure that Die Ou Pastorie is THE place that locals want to visit and that locals want to send their visitors to.
In your opinion, where's the "swestiest" place to be right now?
Having been in Somerset West for less than a year, we have been concentrating on ensuring that Die Ou Pastorie is once again placed on the map as “the place to be”. So, Die Ou Pastorie would be our “swestiest” place right now.
