What do you love about Somerset West?

I absolutely love this town. The sense of culture, family importance and values and loyalty found here is very comforting. I appreciate the beauty of our surroundings and waking up amongst the most beautiful scenery every day is the biggest blessing. Truly a magnificent place with so much opportunity and worth!

How long have you been operating here?

Since February 2009. I was working in foreshore, Cape town CBD for Investec Asset Management prior to starting my own practice.

Describe your business...

I am qualified and competent to assist any SA employer with specific labour related concerns that arise due to the employment relationship.

Dealing with your staff disciplinary issues and CCMA representation is a business pain that I would love to resolve. With 8 years experience in the trade union movement and as an admitted advocate of the High Court of South Africa, I am well equipped to assist you in dealing with all your trade union matters, employment contracts and development of IR policies, procedures and strategies. Drafting and negotiating agreements, workplace policies and contracts is a skill I have considerable experience with. I love to train and develop management in labour law and industrial relations and also to assist with industrial relations audits.

As a labour law practitioner with over 10 years industry experience and the relevant academic background – BA LLB (LLM), you are assured that I can understand and resolve your labour concerns in an efficient, ethical and fair way, allowing you to spend your time on your area of expertise. My purpose is to provide companies with an ethical and sound way of dealing with complex labour issues and most importantly peace of mind for business owners regarding their labour issues.

How do you see the future of your line of business in Swest?

I would like to be able to say that in future (sooner rather than later) each and every business will have discovered that it is more cost effective to pro-actively manage their labour responsibilities. As long as there are businesses out there that employ staff, I am needed and can indeed help to grow your business to reach its fullest potential.

In your opinion, where's the "swestiest" place to be right now?

A hike up to the top of the Helderberg Mountain will put you at one of the most beautiful places on earth!
